NYOH Sponsors May 3rd Blood Cancer Conference

 

 Spring To Life EventNew York Oncology Hematology is sponsoring Spring to Life Conference on Hematologic Malignancies, the region’s first ever conference on blood cancers. It will be held at the Desmond Hotel, Albany, NY on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

NYOH has joined forces with Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and NMDP/Be the Match to host this one-day, CME-certified conference. Healthcare professionals and members of the community—including patients, survivors, family members and caregivers— are invited to attend.

Ira Zackon, MD, Director of the New York Oncology Hematology Stem Cell Transplant Program, is chairing the conference. He says it was launched to provide an up-to-date understanding of blood cancers, including state-of-the-art science behind treatment, clinical management, ongoing translational research, and emerging therapies. As important, sessions will also focus on the impact of these diseases on the lives of patients and families.
